Unattended Musings
Unattended Musings
A place where unintended thoughts bubble to the surface without supervision.

If people from England are English and people from Poland are Polish, then people from Maryland should be Marylish. And people from Thailand should be Thailish.

But that isn't how it works. People from Thailand are Thai, and people from New Zealand are New Zealanders (or kiwis). I'm not sure what people from Maryland call themselves, but I'm pretty sure it isn't Marylish.

If we follow the Thailand example, then people from England should be Eng and people from Poland should be Po. It gets even better for Maryland - they become Mary!

Can't you imagine a text that reads, "Let's now turn to the differences between Eng and Po cuisine..."
